Here you will get an idea of the room we renting to guests.
You will have 2 rooms on the first floor, a bedroom (luxery double bed) and a sitting room with sofa, table to write and use your laptop (wireless internet). The room is decorated with several artworks from our art gallery.
The way to your (private) bathroom is special... you have to cross a bridge! Only 2 meters long but still, it's a bridge... Its one of those old tavirense houses with unexpected looktroughs, beautiful wooden doors and a nice patio. There is a refrigerator to keep your drinks cool.
The house is in the centre of Tavira, near the roman bridge, castle, restaurants and the ferry to the beach, Ilha de Tavira.
Price: 35/55 € a night. (april-may 40€ per night; (june-july-august-sept 55€ per night. Minimum stay is 3 nights.
July and august is full booked. In september we still have some possibilities. October is full but beginning november is possible, october and november are always beautiful months to stay in Tavira with a nice temperature.

Tavira Island Beach
The island belongs to a system which we call ilha-barreira*. To reach the island it is necessary to cross Ria Formosa. This last one is a lagoon system made of marshlands, low tides and channels limited south by a sand stream of five island (ilha-barreiras) and two peninsulas.
There is a part of the island which is classified as natural reserve. This condition, which implies a more restricted use and access of the area, was granted for being an important area from the fauna and flora point of view and some birds' identification.
On sand areas, before the dunes, several species may be found, such as: bindweeds (Calystegia soldanella) and European beach-grass (Ammophila arenaria). Also some avifauna species, for instance: white storks (Ciconia ciconia), doves (Streptopelia turtur) and little terns (Sterna albifrons).
The Tavira Island has been awarded with a Blue Flag in Europe since 1987. This award is due to the fact this beach has a clean and healthy environment and, for the cleaning, safety and information service it offers.
